Model #RACK2R-RVS - An adjustable solar panel rack designed, USA-built, and tested specifically for roof-top RV solar panel mounting… with no middle roof-penetration required.  The Vroom Rack™ for RVs adjusts to attach to the support infrastructure on the upper sides of the RV, so no middle-roof holes in your RV roof.

Designed for Solar Panel Mounting - The Vroom Rack™ for RVs is a 2-rail system; includes the triangular mounting bracket shown above and below with a built-in flange for attachment to the upper outside edge of the RV roof, where you will find a solid mounting point every time.  The triangle mounting bracket (close-up image below), also features (3) different height settings for the 3-tab channel for maximum installation versatility and strength.

Adjustable Height and Width – Built for commercial-grade solar modules and adaptable to panels from 20” to 30” wide, and 30-40mm thickness. Fits RV widths from 84” to 102”; (3) mounting height options available, so solar modules can be mounted 2-5” above the RV roof to mitigate heat build-up and facilitate maximum solar energy capture from bi-facial solar panels. Vroom Solar recommends adding high-quality Renegy solar modules, which feature a 25-year Output warranty (to 80% of rated output) and a 10-year Material and Workmanship warranty (available in our webstore).

Easier, Faster Installation – Our adaptable, adjustable racking solution is designed to install easily into the side support frames of most existing RV types in under two hours; no middle-roof penetration required. No clearance issues, either, as fully mounted solar panels will still be lower than existing RV power and air-conditioning installations.

UL 2703 Grounding Certification – Rack is UL 2703 compliant pending full UL certification; grounding & bonding requirements are included in this certification.

Testing - The Vroom Rack™ for RVs has been field-tested and approved for durability under normal operating conditions consistent with proper installation as described in the Owner’s Manual.

Applications

  • Pair the Vroom Rack™ for RVs with Renogy Solar Panels for the best possible solar solution.

  • With Vroom Rack™ for RVs: NO middle-roof penetration, and the elevated mount allows for heat dissipation and bi-facial panels for maximum solar panel power output..

    • Many RV solar panel installations (second image below) feature middle-of-roof penetration and a direct attachment to the RV roof, causing instability, roof leaks, and heat build-up issues. This type of installation also prevents maximum solar input from bi-facial panels. Don’t make this mistake!

    • Our 2-rail RV rack system includes the mounting triangle with L-mount flange shown below for attachment to the outside edge of the RV roof, where you will find a solid mounting point in the RV subframe every time. Vroom Solar provides more power on the go!

      • PLEASE NOTE: Mounting triangle can be installed with the foot plate facing outwards or inwards. With an outward mount (easiest installation), the complete rack w/solar panels can be fully assembled on the ground, then hoisted up to the RV roof for the final lockdown (see forklift photo below). An inward mount can be used to get an additional 2” of rail length for solar panel mounting, but requires mounting the Mounting Triangles to the RV roof first, then attaching the rails. This approach allow adequate access for tools in attaching the Mounting Triangles to the RV roof.
